CURRENT RESEARCH PROJECTS
Dr Leslie Lyons on a visit to the UK recently. She was here to film and chat about Birmans and how we can help with these research projects. Below is an email sent earlier explaining which Universities are involved.
Howdy Alwyn,
The FIP project will involve a consortium that will include Bristol University, University of Sydney and UC Davis. For shunts, Bristol University leads this effort with me involved as well, and once again, we will hopefully collect samples from diverse areas.

PORTOSYSTEMIC SHUNT BRISTOL UNIVERSITY RESEARCH PROJECT |
|
| They are leading research into Portosystemic shunts in Birmans.
They need our help in the form of simple mouth swabs from as
many Birmans as possible. They also need swabs from cats who have
been affected by a Shunt and their parents and siblings where
possible. The aim of the study is to eventually produce a DNA test
for this condition. Click on the links for more information ANGIE HIBBERT PORTOSYSTEMIC SHUNT LECTURE NOTES SWAB INSTRUCTIONS FOR AMERICA & AUSTRALIA
